ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the men's apparel category and discusses how some retailers rise above the rest. According to Marshal Cohen, senior retail analyst for marketing research firm NPD Group, Port Washington, New York, full-year sales ending July for the men's apparel category are down 7 percent, actually running below par from the past few years. While other men's retailers have witnessed diminishing sales returns, Jos. A. Bank Clothier Inc. is aggressively opening stores, reporting phenomenal sales and revenue results quarter after quarter, and doing everything it can to keep its customers coming back for more.
