ABSTRACT
The article presents information on the weekend box office of various films in North America, as of October 21, 2003. New Line's "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" cashed in on pre-Halloween tricks at the box office in North America this past weekend as the remake of the 1974 horror classic slashed its way to $28.1 million and the top spot on its debut in October 2003. 20th Century Fox's "Runaway Jury" debuted in the third slot with an opening weekend of $11.8 million. The film that generated the highest score in exits was Buena Vista's "Veronica Guerin," an R-rated drama starring Cate Blanchett and directed by Joel Schumacher.
