ABSTRACT
The article ponders on several issues of relevance to the home textiles sector as of October 2003. The efforts of Pakistani delegation to the Export Promotion Bureau to encourage Chinese manufacturers to invest in and partner with Pakistani mills to better serve European and U.S. markets. The increased sales volume of Linens 'n Things has significantly contributed to the improved profit performance of the company in the third quarter of 2003. The Luxury Market Report by Unity Marketing has concluded that affluent shoppers of luxury goods are also bargain hunters. Like Linens 'n Things, Tuesday Morning has also improved its financial performance during the third quarter with a 62.3% increase in profits.
