U.S.-based motion picture company Paramount Classics' co-presidents Ruth Vitale and David Dinerstein were in New York last week to help guests discover their upcoming musical mystery film "The Singing Detective" at the Loews Cineplex Village 7 in the state as of October 14, 2003. An afterparty followed at Capitale, where scantily clad "nurses" passed out lollipops and made sure heartbeats stayed steady with stethoscopes. Meanwhile, bartenders poured drinks in old-time gangster garb.
