This article discusses the increasing apartment rent prices in downtown Grand Rapids in Michigan as of January 2016 and how developers view such problem. It presents comments on the higher downtown rents from Max Benedict, principal at commercial real estate development firm Third Coast Development, Sam Cummings, managing partner of CWD Real Estate Investment, and Christopher Herbert, managing director of Harvard University's Joint Center for Housing Studies.
