The article presents updates on the North West Region and West Midlands Region of the Institute of Management Services in Great Britain as of October 2003. The North West Region board members met for their second meeting in 2003. The usual formal agenda was followed which included reports from officers, on this occasion contributions were from secretary, education liaison officer, public relations officer and the North West Council delegate reported on various Institute developments. Discussion focused on finance, current education facilities and the examination structure, register of North West members together with planning and scheduling for future board programmes for NW members. Earlier in the year members and guests from the West Midlands Region visited the historic Gloucester Docks. A talk by the local manager of British Waterways was followed by a visit to the museum and a guided trip around the docks.
