ABSTRACT
The article provides recent developments at the U.S. Air Force Academy, which was in news because of several rape cases inside the academy. The academy's new "Agenda for Change" may make it harder to track and prosecute sexual assaults, says the leader of the Pentagons panel investigating the academy scandal. After meeting with 10 current and former cadets who claim to have been raped at the academy, the panel members voiced the central dilemma. In addition to four top leaders being reassigned or demoted, changes at the academy include the implementation of a non-confidentiality clause intended to help in prosecuting alleged crimes. But the panel, echoing the voices of victims and their lawyers, worries that this alteration of policy could inhibit victims from coming forward.
