ABSTRACT
When Cable & Wireless Inc. outsourced its HR function, the telecommunications giant seized the opportunity to switch its training to deliver an Learning Management System (LMS). In fact, the organisation recently completed the rollout of an innovative, Web-based LMS, which will deliver online training to 8,500 employees in Great Britain, Europe, the U.S. and Asia. The project, which began in 2001, was kick-started when Cable & Wireless rolled out a new HR module from SAP, which included e-recruitment and e-HR, explains Mike Booth, director of e-learning strategy at Cable & Wireless.
