ABSTRACT
Thresher Group, Great Britain's largest independent specialist drinks retailer, has trained staff in 2,200 stores to use a new retail IT system, which has replaced an outmoded legacy solution. The firm, which is implementing a merchandising system, is working with retail training provider First Friday to deliver bespoke, face-to-face tuition to a group of Super Users, who are cascading the training to shop staff. Jackie Condon, the company's business change programme manager, says it was First Friday's retail experience that appealed to the Group most, rather than its training record.
