E-learning's taken some knocks, but it's on the up

The acceptance of e-learning has reached a turning point this year. Training managers need to remember that most users are not heavily IT driven. For example, in the Great Britain National Health Service the majority go about their daily lives doing non-IT jobs, just like the rest of the population. An effective e-learning solution must enable tutors to access learners' activities, and produce instant reporting on those activities. Employees must be allowed to take ownership of their desktops, and be educated to recognise potential problems, like the dangers of chatrooms.
