ABSTRACT
The Schaffhausen libraries, a medium-sized Swiss cantonal library, performed a strategy process in 2014 that fixed the development policy and selective subjects for the years 2015-2020. The report below describes the course of the process and the methodological apparatus. It shows a possible path that enables also smaller libraries to make definite statements beyond everyday's business about the library development within the demanding area of the digital revolution.
