ABSTRACT
The agricultural sector is an occupational environment at risk, activity based on the use of pesticides to ensure productivity. The treatment exposes operators to potentially dangerous substances to health. To improve the understanding of the origin of winegrowers' behaviors, a study was initiated and aims to define the role of perception in the establishment of safety behaviors. An evaluation of safety climate survey was developed from a review and observations were conducted with 23 operators. These early findings identify the role of the safety perception in the establishment of safe behavior during the activity. The use of the survey as a diagnostic tool helps to target prevention approaches, particularly concerning the improvement of regulations
