ABSTRACT
The article looks into the carbon dioxide emissions from electricity generation using liquefied natural gas (LNG) in Australia. Topics covered include the plans for expanding the LNG production facilities in Darwin, Northern Territory, the volume of emissions from producing and cleaning the gas before LNG production, and the ways of achieving emission reduction in other industries including the purchase of carbon emission credits from developing countries.
