ABSTRACT
This article presents a response to the op-ed written by Roberto Zurbano in the "New York Times" regarding race relations and the conditions of blacks in Cuba. The author comments on the reaction of Cuban author Víctor Fowler on the controversy surrounding Zurbano's article. His perspective on the current state of racism in Cuba is also explored.
