ABSTRACT
This article presents a response to the op-ed written by Roberto Zurbano in the "New York Times" regarding race relations and the conditions of blacks in Cuba. The author comments on her perspective of the current ethno-racial problems in Cuba, and describes the political climate in which racism and inequality for blacks thrives.
