ABSTRACT
This article presents a response to the op-ed written by Roberto Zurbano in the "New York Times" regarding race relations and the conditions of blacks in Cuba. The author comments on the history of foreign relations between Cuba and the United States, the latter of which has its own troubled history of racism.
