ABSTRACT
This article presents a response to the op-ed written by Roberto Zurbano in the "New York Times" regarding race relations and the conditions of blacks in Cuba. The author comments on the backlash associated with Zurbano's assertion of the prevalence of racism towards Afro-Cubans. He also considers the possibility of propaganda involved in the publishing of Zurbano's article.
