The article focuses on the Arms Trade Treaty (ATT), the first global treaty to regulate the conventional arms trade, and its importance for regulating the global arms trade. It looks on how the conventional weapons trade operates and how the ATT functions and interacts with certain other international instruments such as humanitarian and human rights nongovernmental organizations.
