ABSTRACT
The article focuses on American fantasy writer Kij Johnson who was guest of honor at the International Conference on the Fantastic in the Arts (ICFA) held in 2013. Topics discussed include winning of the literary award Crawford Award by Johnson for her fantasy novel "The Fox Woman;" Johnson's views on her liking for the stories with abrupt ideas, and themes of her writings being interaction between human and animal in several books of Johnson like "At the Mouth of the River of Bees."
