ABSTRACT
The article examines the impact of diverse populations on fire prevention in the U.S. Topics discussed include the process suggested by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) to identify fire and injury risks, developing partnerships, and developing programs, challenges faced by the Fire Service with language barriers among non-English speaking immigrant and elderly populations, and overcoming the perception of distrust of public safety employees.
