ABSTRACT
This article focuses on a report issued by the American Council of Life Insurance presenting an outlook on the needs of Asian and Hispanic immigrants in the U.S. as of May 1987. The authors predict that the nation's social, educational, political and economic programs will change dramatically to meet the needs of immigrants. According to the report, immigration by Asians and Hispanics has increased in the past decade because of economic and political pressures in Asia and Latin America. Asian and Hispanic immigration is projected to continue growing well into the next century.
