ABSTRACT
The author focuses on an antitrust lawsuit filed by Arizona Attorney General Terry Goddard against "Tuczon Citizen," the state's 138-year-old newspaper which filed for bankruptcy. Goddard argues that the newspaper's decision to close and stop its operation would lessen competition against its one competitor, the "Arizona Daily Star." Although U.S. District Judge Raner Collins rejected the lawsuit and motion for a temporary restraining order, the author believes that it is only temporary since Goddard will run in the state's gubernatorial election.
