ABSTRACT
The article examines the role of a well-developed domestic retail corporate bond market on the businesses and investors in Australia. Topics discussed include the facilitation of funds to businesses through the retail corporate bond market, access to a broader range of fixed income assets for investors which provide much-needed diversification and the lengthy and detailed process in the development of a retail corporate bond market.
