ABSTRACT
The article provides information on projectors. 'Purchase cost is a big factor and we are using it to get people into the market,' explains Stuart Davis, business manager at Epson Inc. The prices are now at a point where anyone who's been looking at overhead projectors can now afford LCD models that are well suited to small training-room environments. Projectors effectively divide according to the display technology they use, LCD and DLP or digital light processing. LCD projectors are more common, but don't provide the same quality of image close up and there is a risk of the LCD panels burning out. Portability is another key differentiator between projectors. Lightweight, portable projectors are now common, but while they might sound like the natural choice for trainers on the move, this opinion could be deceptive. Buyers also need to consider the laptop they intend to use with the projector, particularly when it comes to resolution. In keeping with the current buzz for wireless technology, a number of wireless projectors have also hit the market recently.
