The City has handed Xpertise Training a £1.49 million lifeline after the training firm was short of money. The rescue package is large enough to keep Xpertise afloat for more than two years, according to chief executive Bob Bradley. 'Most of our cash went on restructuring following the merger with Power Education,' he explains. Under the agreement, investors agreed to back Xpertise on the basis of its successful restructuring, recent customer wins and the performance of its training solutions arm. Bradley hopes that the Power Education merger means that Xpertise is now 'a company with national coverage and financial security,' and predicts that its training solutions division will play a key role in its bid to compete with Great Britain's biggest independent classroom IT training firms.
