ABSTRACT
All the players of soccer, basketball, or baseball, he would know that these games have rules. All the players know the rules, and they are supposed to play fairly. But even with rules, people can disagree and get angry. Even professional athletes sometimes lose their tempers and argue about the game. This is where umpires and referees come in. Their job is to make sure that a game is played fairly. They must interpret the rules and the way the game is being played. Maybe the toughest job for umpires is keeping players calm after a close call in a close game.
