ABSTRACT
The CASLIS Strategic Planning Committee, presented the new 2003-2008 strategic plan for the organization at its national AGM held on June 22 in Toronto, Ontario, during the UCLA/ALA 2003 Conference. Working documents include CASLIS's mission, vision and values statements, a SWOT analysis (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats) etc. There are a few changes in the composition of the CASLIS national executive. CASLIS maintained its tradition of a strong conference program by co-sponsoring many events and workshops. CASLIS hooked up with various library associations, to offer workshops on Web site redesign, taxonomies, health information networks, entrepreneurship among librarians, and business plan writing among other topics. The new CACUL executive was introduced at the 2003 CACUL AGM, held during the UCLA Annual Conference in Toronto, Ontario. CACUL is pleased to announce that Kathleen DeLong is the 2003 recipient of the Miles Blackwell Award for Outstanding Academic Librarian.
