CLA Annual Conference Awards

The article reports on Canadian Library Association (CLA) Annual Conference Awards. Brian Campbell, Systems & Technical Services Director at the Vancouver Public Library was given CLA's highest honour as the 2003 Outstanding Service to Librarianship Award winner. Anne O'Shea, a graduate of the School of Library, Information and Archival Studies at the University of British Columbia won the award for her article entitled "Under Threat: Libraries in Iraq." The Council of Prairie and Pacific University Libraries (COPPUL) was honoured for their Citation Manager, a personal bibliographic management system that allows library users to store and manage citations on the World Wide Web. This year's CLTA Merit Award was presented to Gary Archibald, Chair of the Western Counties Regional Library Board in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. The 2003 recipient of the National Book Service Teacher-Librarian of the year is Bonnie McComb from Parkland Secondary School in Sidney, British Columbia.
