ABSTRACT
Ending a 39-year era, two solo violinists are the last ones left on the stage of theatrical company Dorothy Chandler Pavilion as they complete the concluding movement of Haydn's "Farewell Symphony" on Saturday night. The final concerts of the Los Angeles Philharmonic's four decade event at the Chandler were conducted by Pierre Boulez during the weekend.
