ABSTRACT
The Peabody Trust, one of London's largest registered housing associations, has helped set up a network of training centres to get parents back to work. It has been possible due to£5 million in funding from the Single Regeneration Budget. A network of 15 high-technology skills and learning centres, dubbed the Digital Learning Ring, have been established in London, linked together by telecoms technology to form a learning intranet. The Trust can provide remote tutorial support for a wide range of vocational and educational courses using email, videoconferencing and the internet, alongside traditional tutor-led programmes.
