ABSTRACT
Rugby players are to be offered more free training in information technology (IT) after the Professional Rugby Association (PRA) signed a two-year deal with training firm Computacenter PLC. The deal, which builds on an existing scheme, will provide PRA members with end-user IT training aimed at preparing players for life off the pitch. 'We are fundamentally a welfare organisation, and it is an integral part of our work to help players in their life after sport,' says Damian Hopley, the PRA's chief executive. The training, offered as a one-day course, covers applications like Word, Excel, Windows and the Internet.
