ABSTRACT
Both Microsoft Corp. and Symantec Corp. are to accept Comptia's Security+ certification as part of their own qualifications. The changes will allow people taking security-related certifications to substitute the vendor-neutral Security+ for the equivalent modules offered by each of the vendors. 'It is encouraging to get such support for a six-month-old certification,' says Matthew Poyiadgi, Comptia Great Britain's regional director. Security+ will be accepted towards Microsoft's security specialist versions of MCSA and MCSE, as well as Symantec's Product Specialist certification.
