Frictionless flywheel floats on superconductors

Reports on a Japanese researcher's discovery of a levitating flywheel, which stores energy by spinning at high speed, using the ability of high-temperature superconducting ceramics to repel magnetic fields. Levitation of a magnet above a superconductor because its field is repelled.
