ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the importance of weekend children viewing to television network Fox in the U.S. The Saturday morning audience is discriminating and fickle. Children are not passive viewers. The network hopes to build on its Fox Kids Club, a 2-million-member community for children promoted on Fox's weekday children's programming. Fox has an advantage in being able to promote their Saturday morning lineup with their Monday to Friday strips. ABC's Saturday morning children's schedule has been on top among kids 2 to 11 years old every week since November 26, 1988.
