ABSTRACT
This article reports on the efforts of media entrepreneur Dale Lang to buy a stake in the Confetti group of beauty salon magazines, as of August 1990. His involvement with Confetti puts him in competition with Whittle Communications, which plans to launch its own beauty salon magazine in September. Communications Venture Group launched Confetti in spring. It consists of six titles that focus on style, home and leisure. Confetti was forced to decrease advertising rates after the first two issues. Communications Venture Group began looking for a partner after the launch.
