This article reports on a management reorganization at the New York office of advertising agency Chiat/Day/Mojo made by chief executive Bob Wolf in August 1990. The agency laid off 30 employees in the earlier part of the month after a series of account losses. Wolf replaced Jane Newman as president of the New York office with Bob Perkins. Newman becomes vice chairman for strategic planning and business development for North America. According to Perkins, his priorities include meeting existing clients and looking for new business. Newman expects her new job will allow her the freedom to deal with clients' problems without having to cope with day-to-day responsibilities.
