ABSTRACT
This article reports on the efforts of Time Warner to develop a women's magazine with celebrity Martha Stewart, as of August 1990. The first test issue will be released in November 1990. The magazine is said to be the springboard for other projects involving Stewart, including the production of videos and catalogs. The project is being developed under Time Publishing Ventures. Development director Eric Thorkilsen is overseeing the magazine project. The first issue will focus on holiday entertaining and will feature how-to tips regarding various topics. Time Warner will distribute 500,000 copies to U.S. newsstands with a cover price of $3 and a six-week shelf life.
