The article reports on trends in television advertising in the United States. Market trends and practices indicate the complaints of advertisers and agencies about lower ratings, increased prices, clutter and a loss of network television effectiveness. Analysts stressed the need for a real commitment from advertisers and agencies in creating and measuring all alternative communications delivery systems.
