Presidio Mortgage Co. has announced a proposal for the California Theater Hotel conversion project located at Fourth Ave. and C St. in San Diego. The proposed plans call for the conversion of an existing theater building into a 35-story hotel. Horner & Shifrin Inc. has been selected by the Illinois Dept. of Transportation to provide engineering design services for a 3.6-mile section of State Rte. 336, about 10 miles west of Macomb. Harvard University has selected Skidmore Owings & Merrill LLP as architect for two new science and laboratory buildings located on its campus in Cambridge.
