Evidence-Based Chiropractic Care: Chiropractic Organizations Provide Support to The Cochrane Collaboration in Canada

The article reports that chiropractor clinicians, educators, researchers, administrators and policy makers are encouraged to attend events and to become actively involved in The Cochrane Collaboration. The commitment of chiropractors to evidence-based health care is reflected in the recent support provided by the major chiropractic organizations in Canada to The Canadian Cochrane Network and Centre (CCN/C). The mission of the CCN/C is to foster evidence-based healthcare decision making by identifying and supporting individuals in Canada who wish to become involved with The Cochrane Collaboration, and by promoting the awareness, appreciation, distribution, and use of Cochrane systematic reviews of healthcare interventions. In this way the CCN/C contributes to the vision of the international Cochrane Collaboration. Cochrane Colloquia are the Cochrane Collaboration's annual conferences where Cochrane supporters and contributors meet to help promote and develop the work of the Collaboration, and to help shape the future directions for the Collaboration. The 11th Cochrane Colloquium will be held on October 26 to 31, 2003 in Barcelona, Spain.
