ABSTRACT
The article reports on the financial performance of advertising agency WPP Group PLC. According to WPP group executive Martin Sorrell, the agency will see earnings per share grow 20 percent in 1991, which would put WPP's earnings per Great Britain share at about $1.61. Sorell took an unexpected $425 million write-off from his record $864 million acquisition of Ogilvy in 1989. He also publicly denied any interest in making any major acquisitions in the future.
