The article reports that former Day's Inns of America chief executive officer Henry Silverman and former Nixon Commerce Secretary Peter G. Peterson's Blackstone Partners paid Prime Motor Inns for the marketing rights to the franchise systems Howard Johnson & Ramada Inns. Prime will remain a Howard Johnson and Ramada Franchisee. Franchise Holdings Corp. is renewing ties with franchisees. Franchise Holdings is described as the fourth largest hotel marketer in the U.S.
