ABSTRACT
The article focuses on several studies related to addition of fruits and vegetables to daily diet for reducing arthritis. A study in the periodical "Journal of Medicinal Food" revealed that osteoarthritis (OA) patients served with tart cherry juice reduced C-reactive protein (CRP) which is a marker of inflammation. A study in the periodical "BMC Musculoskeletal Disorders" showed eating vegetables from allium family like onions and garlic delivered organosulfides reducing risks of developing OA.
