ABSTRACT
The article focuses on various aspects related to prevention of sex trafficking in Illinois. It states that Jody Raphael, a professor at DePaul University College of Law in Chicago, had taken an initiative to do research on sex trade and human trafficking in Illinois and mentions that the statistics from the U.S. Department of Justice have shown an increase in human trafficking cases in the U.S. It present poverty as the main reason which pushes individuals into sex trade.
