ABSTRACT
The article explains the importance of allocation concealment for eliminating bias in randomized controlled trial (RCTs). Topics covered include random allocation of trial participants before recuritment, prevention of researcher influence and the use of computer-based electronic random generation programs. Also mentioned are challenges in allocation concealment subversion including questionable validity of RCT findings, overestimation or inflated intervention effect.
