ABSTRACT
The article focuses on a gall caused by Andricus gemmeus, of insects Hymenoptera wasps belonging to the family Cynipidae. Topics discussed include a gall wasp on Pedunculate Oak Quercus robur in Yorkshire, England, spread of the insect in across Europe and evidences of Andricus gemmeus in Scabba Wood. It also mentions sexual generation of the Knopper Gall on the catkins of Turkey Oak Quercus cerris while the agamic generation of the striking galls on the Pedunculate Oak.
