ABSTRACT
DUNDEE UTD 0 CELTIC 3 LEIGH GRIFFITHS insisted Celtic were due the break that landed him a hat-trick as Ronny Deila's men swept closer to the title at Tannadice. Referee Willie Collum pointed to the spot when John Rankin toppled Gary Mackay-Steven, despite the contact taking place outside the area. Griffiths stepped up to dispatch the penalty for his second treble in 12 days, sealing a solid victory that moved Celtic eight points clear of Aberdeen with just four games to play. The Collum call came seven days after Steven McLean and his officials missed the, now infamous, Josh Meekings hand-ball in Celtic's Scottish Cup semi-final defeat by Inverness Caley Thistle. 'I've just heard the penalty was outside the box but we were due bit of luck after the semi-final,' said Griffiths, who struck all three goals in the second half.
