ABSTRACT
The article reports developments in the request for the inner line permit (ILP) system in Meghalaya state, India as of mid-August 2013. Also cited are a comparison of the slogans "No ILP, No Rest" and "No Hill State, No Rest," the scheduled meeting by Meghalaya Chief Minister Mukul Sangma with pressure group representatives on the ILP issue, and some of the pressure groups like the Federation of Khasi-Jaintia and Garo People (FKJGP).
