ABSTRACT
The article reports that the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) in Maryland is using high performance computing (HPC) TeraOS software from the company Terascala to manage its Lustre-based parallel storage system. It states that the software keeps a check on storage appliances of the university. It mentions that big data sent by the satellite instrument Atmospheric Infrared Sounder (AIRS) is analyzed by the university using the software.
