Moody's Investors Service in Illinois, this week knocked down the credit of Victory Health Services by two grades to Baa2 from A3 and warned the troubled organization that it faces another potential downgrade. Governor Rod Blagojevich last week signed into law a series of bills that will produce the revenue needed to help balance fiscal 2004's $52.4 billion budget. Five hospitals in Michigan, that filed suit to prevent the expansion of Henry Ford Health Systems in Detroit have added St. John Health as a defendant in the suit. The suburban hospitals are expected to ask an Ingham County Court judge on June 30 to declare unconstitutional the law that would allow Henry Ford and St. John to expand.
